Meet Joëlle
Joëlle Bourjolly is an award-winning writer-producer, whose film credits include “Happy Face,” awarded Best Feature at the Boston Underground Film Festival, Bushwick Film Festival, FearNYC Film Festival, and Hell’s Half Mile Film & Music Festival; and “Terminal Venus,” both co-written with director Alexandre Franchi.
As a producer, her short film “Soother” won the 2001 Grand Prix for Best Children’s Film at the Uppsala International Short Film Festival. Joëlle’s short script for “The Legend of Brideshead Mansion” was awarded a Drama Prize by the National Screen Institute of Canada.
Her career highlights include: story editor on the award-winning Hallmark Entertainment family drama “The Neverending Story,” and “Stanley’s Palace,” an original one-hour drama series she created and developed for CTV.
Joëlle was granted a New York Foundation for the Arts Urban Artist Initiative Fellowship, and was a 2003 honoree at the Independent Feature Project’s NY Project Involve, where she workshopped “Happy Face.”
