Meet Joëlle

Joëlle Bourjolly is an award-winning writer-producer, whose film credits include “Happy Face,” awarded Best Feature at the Boston Underground Film Festival, Bushwick Film Festival, FearNYC Film Festival, and Hell’s Half Mile Film & Music Festival; and “Terminal Venus,” both co-written with director Alexandre Franchi.

As a producer, her short film “Soother” won the 2001 Grand Prix for Best Chil­dren’s Film at the Uppsala International Short Film Festival. Joëlle’s short script for “The Legend of Brideshead Mansion” was awarded a Drama Prize by the National Screen In­stitute of Canada.

Her career highlights include: story editor on the award-winning Hallmark En­tertainment family drama “The Neverending Story,” and “Stanley’s Palace,” an original one-hour drama series she created and developed for CTV.

Joëlle was granted a New York Foundation for the Arts Urban Artist Initiative Fellowship, and was a 2003 honoree at the Independent Feature Project’s NY Project Involve, where she workshopped “Happy Face.”
